Contact Karate: There are no kata (forms) in this section.
Exam: 1st Dan to 2nd Dan black belt (without title) minimum tenure 18 months.

EXERCISE:
1st test: Falls:
Falls remain very important in Contact Karate.
a) Forward rotational fall (zempo ukemi).
b) Lateral fall (yoko ukemi).
c) Backward fall (ushiro ukemi).

2nd test: Arm techniques.
a) Moving forward; oi – zuki chudan + gyaku – zuki jodan + ura – ken.
b) Coming back; under – uke + ura – ken + gedan – barai.
c) Moving forward; age – uke + soto – uke + shuto - uke.
d)- going back; age – uke + gedan – barai + shishi - katame.
h)- moving forward; gedan – barai + kizami – zuki + gyaku – zuki Jodan.
i)- moving forward; fumi – komi – zuki + mawashi – zuki + ura - ken.

3rd test: Leg techniques:
a)- moving forward; mae – geri + mawashi – geri + same leg yoko – geri.
b)- moving forward; mawashi – geri + ura – mawashi – geri + leg change mae – geri.
c)- moving forward; ushiro geri + same leg yoko – geri + mawashi – geri.
d)- moving forward; mawashi – geri + leg change yoko – geri + leg change ura – mawashi – geri.
e)- moving forward; kakato – geri + same leg ura – mawashi – geri + same leg mae – geri.
f))- moving forward; ushiro – yoko – geri + same leg yoko – geri + same leg ura – mawashi - geri.

4th round: Paired techniques with partners:
a) Tori: (the one performing the technique) gedan - barai (returning back) + advance oi - zuki jodan, response from uke (the one receiving the technique) by returning back age - uke.
b) Tori: (the one performing the technique) gedan - barai (returning back) + advance oi - zuki chudan, response from uke (the one receiving the technique) by returning back soto - uke.
c) Tori: (the one performing the technique) gedan - barai (returning back) + advance mae - geri, response from uke (the one receiving the technique) gedan - barai.
d) Tori: (the one performing the technique) by returning back age - uke + gyaku zuki, response from uke (the one receiving the technique) soto - uke.
e)- Tori: (the one performing the technique) moving forward mawashi – geri, response from uke (the one receiving the technique) age – uke.
f)- Tori: (the one performing the technique) moving forward ura – mawashi – gheri + gyaku – zuki, response from uke (the one receiving the technique) soto – uke.
g)- Tori: (the one performing the technique) moving forward mae – geri + gyaku – zuki, response from uke (the one receiving the technique) soto – uke.
h)- Tori: (the one performing the technique) moving forward yoko – geri + ura – ken, response from uke (the one receiving the technique) age – uke.

5th test: Perform 3 Throws;
To be performed in motion with a partner.
a)- De - ashi – Barai (sweep on the leading leg (foot).
Tori achieves this move by striking the leading supporting leg with the flat of his foot, with a sharp swipe of his foot, taking advantage of his partner's off-balance.

b)- Okuri Ashi Barai (sweep on both feet).
Tori, the Okuri Ashi Barai technique requires excellent timing and can be performed on Uke's lateral or rotational movements.

c)- Kani basami (lobster bite), only the modern version is permitted.
To be practiced safely, Kani Basami must be performed with the rear leg resting on the ground and not against Uke's leg.

a)- Kumite strategy.
b)- illustrates the competition area.
c)- explains the functions of the referee.
d)- explains the functions of the chair umpire.
e)- illustrates the function of the cardiorespiratory system of the human body.
f)- illustrates the function of the cardiac muscle of the human body.
g)- illustrates the function of the musculoskeletal system of the human body.
