CONTACT KARATE EXAM 2th PROGRAM
Contact Karate (there are no kata or forms in this sector).
Examination from green belt 3rd kyu to blue belt 2nd kyu (minimum ten-month stay).

The I.K.F. (International Karate Federation) has developed a program for belt (kyu) promotions; however, the Sports Club Technical Director may develop his own program. The Club Technical Director may examine, subject to the time limits, up to 1st kyu (brown belt).

1st test: Falls:
Falls remain very important in Contact Karate.
a) Forward rotational fall (zempo ukemi).
b) Lateral fall (yoko ukemi).
c) Backward fall (ushiro ukemi).

Part 2: Arm Techniques.
a)- oi – zuki chudan (moving forward).
b)- sotto – uke (moving back).
c)- age – uke (moving back).
d)- age – uke (moving forward).
e)- gedan – barai (moving back).
f)- gedan – barai (moving forward).
g)- gyaku – zuki jodan (moving back).
h)- mawashi – zuki (moving forward).
i)- ura – ken (moving forward).

Part 3: Leg Techniques:
a)- mae – geri (moving forward).
b)- yoko geri (moving forward).
c)- yoko – geri (moving back).
d)- mawashi – geri (moving forward).
e)- ura – mawashi – geri (moving forward).
f)- uschiro – gheri.
g)- kakato geri.

Part 4: Techniques combined with partners:
a) Tori: (the one performing the technique) gedan - barai (returning back) + advance oi - zuki jodan (reply from uke (the one receiving the attack) by returning back age – uke.
b) Tori: (the one performing the technique) gedan - barai (returning back) + advance oi - zuki chudan (reply from uke (the one receiving the attack) by returning back soto – uke.
c) Tori: (the one performing the technique) gedan - barai (returning back) + advance mae - geri (reply from uke (the one receiving the attack) gedan - barai.
d) Tori: (the one performing the technique) returning back age – uke + gyaku zuki (reply from uke (the one receiving the attack) soto – uke.
e) Tori: (the one performing the technique) moving forward mawashi – geri (reply from uke (the one receiving the technique) age – uke.
f)- Tori: (the one performing the technique) moving forward ura – mawashi – gheri + gyaku – zuki (reply from uke (the one receiving the technique) soto – uke.

5th test: Throw
To be performed in motion with a partner.
a)- De – ashi – Barai (sweep on the advanced leg (foot).
Tori achieves this move by striking the forward supporting leg with the flat of his foot, taking advantage of his partner's off-balance.
b)- Okuri Ashi Barai (both-foot sweep).
Tori, the Okuri Ashi Barai technique requires excellent timing and can be performed on Uke's lateral or rotational movements.
