SHOTOKAN KARATE EXAM  5th DAN PROGRAM    

Examination from 4th Dan black belt to 5th Dan black belt in Shotokan Karate (without title).

Level of proficiency: from 4th Dan black belt to 5th Dan black belt, minimum 48 months.

1st exam:

Thesis on Karate-Do.

2nd exam:

Tokui Waza (attack, defense, de ashi barai, throw).

3rd exam:

Jiyu Kumite.

4th exam:

Tokui Kata.

5th round:

One kata chosen by the Commission from those included in the program up to 4th Dan.

6th round:

Self-defense with partner:

a) mae geri/ mawashi geri/ ushiro geri.

b) oi zuki/ gyaku zuki.

-----------------------------

7th round:

a) - Central referee (kumite).

b) - Chair umpire (kumite).

c) - Chair umpire (kata).

8th round: Theory.

a) Human body morphology.

b) Respiratory system.

c) Musculoskeletal system.

d) Explain explosive strength (human body).

e) Explain endurance strength (human body).
